My name is Joy Heyer. I live in northern Virginia with my loving husband and three of my four crazy children. My oldest child is married and has three children of her own, making me a grandma. At least the gray hairs now have a purpose.

 

After years of begging and vowing to do all the work required, my family convinced me to get a dog. What was I thinking?! I now have a little shadow following me around from room to room all day long. In my spare time....wait what spare time?

 

Whenever my children and dog permit, I love to read, write, paint, and dream up home improvement projects that I will never do. But if I did them, my home would be magazine worthy.
